DJ-Tabs Configuration

In the options, you can set global configuration.
Those settings can be overridden in each item (tab or accordion) you're creating.
To open the Options go to Components -> DJ-Tabs -> Options.

Article options


  1. Show Date - choose if you want to show date, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No,
    3. Use Global.
  2. Date Position - select date position, available options:
    1. Next to the title,
    2. Under the title.
  3. Date format - type the date format you want to use,
    1. this option works only if "Next to the title" option from Date Position is selected. 
  4. Date format (secondary) - type the date format you want to use, 
    1. this option works only if "Under the title" option from Date Position is selected. 
  5. Show Title – choose if you want to show title, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No,
    3. Use Global.
  6. Title Link– If enabled title will be a clickable link, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No
  7. Title Characters Limit – Number of maximum of characters in the title
  8. Show Image – choose which image will be displayed, available options: 
    1. intro image
    2. full article image
    3. the first image from article content
    4. none
  9. Image Position – select the image's position, available options:
    1. left, 
    2. right, 
    3. top.
  10. Image Link – If enabled image will be a clickable link, available options:
    1. yes, 
    2. no.
  11. Image Width – enter image's width
  12. Image Height – enter image's height
  13. Generate Thumbnails – Choose whether to generate article image thumbnails in components/com_djtabs/thumbs. If enabled, Image Width & Height refer to thumbnails dimensions. If you enable "Generate Thumbnails" in component options, 2 new buttons will be shown on items list: Purge Thumbnails - use it to delete all cached thumbnails, Optimize Thumbnails using reSmush.it (lossless compression) - use it to optimize thumbnails. This will increase page speed. Available options:

  14. Thumbnails Quality – Thumbnails Quality (in %)
  15. Show Description – choose if you want to show description, available options
    1. yes, 
    2. no.
  16. Description Link – If enabled, the description will be a clickable link, available options
    1. yes, 
    2. no.
  17. HTML in Description – Allow HTML tags in description (if set to 'Yes', characters limit will be ignored), available options
    1. yes, 
    2. no.
  18. Description Characters Limit – Number of maximum characters in description (ignored if 'HTML in description' is enabled)
  19. Show Read More Button – choose if you want to show Read More button, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No,
    3. Use Global.
  20. Read More Text – enter text that will be displayed on the "read more" button
  21. Show Category – Show article category, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No,
    3. Use Global.
  22. Category Link – If enabled category will be a clickable link, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No,
    3. Use Global.
  23. Show Author – Show article author, available options:
    1. Yes,
    2. No,
    3. Use Global.
  24. Show Action buttons - yes/no

Tab/Accordion Options


  1. Tabs trigger - Select whether tabs items should be displayed on click or on mouse hover, available options:
    1. Click, 
    2. hover.
  2. Transition speed - Choose a duration of Tabs/Accordion items switching animation, available options:
    1. Normal, 
    2. slow,
    3. fast.
  3. Accordion Layout Display - Select how to initially display a content of accordion layout
  4. Scroll to Accordion item - Choose if a page should be scrolled to the top of an active Accordion item, available options:
    1. No,
    2. main accordion only,
    3. article category accordion only,
    4. both.
  5. Truncate titles - Truncate accordion category titles, available options:
    1. Yes, 
    2. no.
  6. Video Automatic Play/Pause - Select whether to play/pause video automatically after switching to/from a tab with video: (Play & Pause, Pause only, None.)
  7. WCAG Script - Load JS Script for WCAG support, available options:
    1. Yes, 
    2. no.
  8. Caching - Global/Yes/No

Article Category Options


  1. Articles Display - select how to display articles
  2. Articles Columns - number of columns in which articles are displayed
  3. Articles Space - space between articles
  4. Articles Limit - number of max. articles displayed
  5. Max. Category Levels - choose maximum category levels counting
  6. Articles Min. Date - Choose whether to display only articles newer than the date entered
  7. Articles Max. Date - Choose whether to display only articles older than the date entered
  8. Articles From Last X Days - show only articles from the last X days
  9. Articles Ordering - set the ordering 
  10. Articles Ordering Direction - Ascending/descending
